Camp Flog Gnaw

I watched this interview of Tyler, the Creator once and he mentioned something on the realms of, “who knows if it will work or not, but at least we tried it.” That’s somewhat how I explore design. For this project, I explored using metallic paper, transparent paper, and newsprint. This was an informal zine for supporters to learn about each artist performing. One of my goals was to create something that would make my younger self say, “Fuck, this is tight,” and keep it forever.

The intro title to every artist was an exploration of typography and scale, while still not overpowering each other. When using many moves, I realized the importance of emptiness and breathability.

Being able to dissect and find connections between the imagery was the most exciting part of this project.

I also art directed a photoshoot with photographer Audryana Cruz and friends. I used the images inside the publication to showcase the merch.
